Absence Policy

Each student is allowed 10 days of absence due to illness. If your student exceeds the 10 days, please provide a doctor’s note to clear all absences thereafter. For medical appointments, illness, or surgery, please request a note from your doctor for the exact dates.

Vacations are not excused absences. Vacations or absences other than illness are considered unexcused and may result in Saturday School.

Closed Campus

Students may not leave campus without checking out through the attendance office. If your student leaves campus without checking out, a parent cannot clear the absence after the fact. Failure to follow campus checkout policy may result in detention for your student.

Personal Items/Notes will Not be Delivered

On occasion, we understand that your student may forget their homework assignment, lunch, money, books, etc.  You are welcome to drop these items off at the front office for pickup. However, it is the responsibility of your student to pickup their items.  We do not deliver nor send notes to make any pickup arrangements to remedy this type of situation.

Outside Food Deliveries are Prohibited

For the safety of our students, staff and campus, outside food deliveries are STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

Tardy to class?

Running Late

In order to emphasize safety, maximize instructional time, and minimize disruptions, students who are late to class will now check in at one of three kiosks on campus. Late or tardy students will provide their student ID at the kiosk and will be provided with a printed “late pass” to class.

This printed pass will be the student’s pass to class as classroom doors will be locked after the bell to maximize security.

Consequences for excessive tardiness will be assigned by assistant principals, not
teachers.

Detailed instructions will be provided to students in the first week of school.
